What is the Brooklyn Bee?

The Brooklyn Bee is just me, John Howe and some recent friends/volunteers 

 I live in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, N.Y. 

and have three beehives on my roof.

In the Summer and Fall the bees make honey, maybe 150 pounds.

Sometimes I make soap, lip balm and candles from beeswax in the Winter.

 I don’t make lot of money. In fact, I’m lucky if I break even, but it’s a great hobby and I enjoy sharing my honey and other products with my neighbors.
